Our Mission

We are committed to the ongoing growth and development of our professional community as one which:

• Maintains a spirit of intellectual openness and curiosity while remaining grounded in an Object Relations approach to thinking, learning, and teaching

• Remains dedicated to offering high-quality, affordable training to both beginning and seasoned clinicians

• Facilitates the professional development of faculty and students by:

- Offering a range of training and continuing education options for clinicians at all levels of experience from recent graduates to senior faculty.

- Supporting program graduates to move into teaching and supervisory positions through mentoring and supervision by faculty.

• Serves the community by:

- Offering high-quality psychotherapy from faculty and trainees at a significantly reduced fee in the IPI Metro Psychotherapy Center that we plan to establish in the coming year

- Offering low-cost and pro-bono seminars, in-service trainings, classes, lectures, and discussion groups in a variety of community settings, through our Speakers Bureau.
